* Swift Storm Brings Damage, Calls*
This past Tuesday evening, a fast moving storm with high
winds and heavy rain swept through the area causing
numerous incidents of tree limbs on wires and power
outtages. With the help of the Bridgeton Fire Department
(Station 7), UDVFC #3 handled multiple simultaneous or
back-to-back calls for assistance. Despite the debris, Upper
Deerfield made out relatively well. Other areas in
Cumberland and Salem Counties fared much worse.

*Three Days, Two House Fires*
UDVFC#3 responded on Sunday, february 15th at 0333
hours to assist Station 32 with a house fire well-involved on
Big Oak Rd. Many factors came together to make this an
especially difficult blaze, and despite the best efforts of
firefighters from all three Upper Deerfield stations,
Rosenhayn, Greenwich, and Centerton, the house was a
total loss.
On Tuesday Feb 17th, Units responded to a report of a
dwelling on Old Deerfield Pike. Station 32 Officer on location
reporting "Working" fire. Units from All three Upper Deerfield
stations, Rosenhayn, and the City of Bridgeton assisted with
a quick stop and minimal damage to the residence. Both
blazes remain under investigation. Many thanks to our
mutual aid companies who provided assistance to our
citizens on scene, or by covering our stations during the fires.
